Besides being a world-class ski resort and après ski destination, Ischgl is widely renowned for its events, particularly the Top of the Mountain Concert, which stands out. A concert with world-class artists that marks the beginning and end of the season, annually attracting thousands to enjoy both music and skiing.
The Tyrolean ski resort has built a reputation for attracting the world's top superstars. This season will not disappoint with American pop-rock band from Colorado Springs, OneRepublic performing at the Grand Closing of the 2024-2025 Ischgl Ski Season on 3 May.
At the Ischgl Stage in the Idalp, the Grammy-nominated band OneRepublic led by Ryan Tedder will delight Ischgl visitors with classics such as "Counting Stars", "Apologize" and "I Ain't Worried" - and all this against the stunning backdrop of the Tyrolean Alps.
2025 marks the 30th anniversary of the legendary Top of the Mountain closing concert. Since 1995, this concert series has captivated audiences with world-class performances and extraordinary concerts in the heart of the Silvretta Arena Ischgl/Samnaun. This year's anniversary concert with OneRepublic marks another milestone in the history of this iconic event.
The concert is part of Spring Blanc, a series of events celebrating sunny spring skiing in Ischgl. Visitors to the Silvretta Arena can enjoy perfect piste conditions, culinary highlights, and a variety of events. Spring Blanc combines winter sports with lifestyle and offers guests an exceptional experience from April to May.
OneRepublic follows in the footsteps of a galaxy of superstars who have entertained skiers and boarders in the Austrian resort's traditional Top of the Mountain gig. Years ago, Ischgl decided to put its entire advertising and marketing budget into staging two massive concerts a year to open and close the winter season. Since then, the resort has hosted Rod Stewart, Bob Dylan, Sting, Tina Turner, Diana Ross, Bon Jovi, Enrique Iglesias, Atomic Kitten, Peter Gabriel, The Corrs, Alanis Morissette, Lionel Richie, Pink, the Scissor Sisters, the Pussycat Dolls, Rihanna, Elton John again, Gabriella Cilmi, Leona Lewis, Kylie Minogue, Katy Perry, Alicia Keys, Gossip, The Killers, Roxette, Mariah Carey, The Scorpions, Deep Purple, Nickelback, Robbie Williams, James Blunt, Thirty Seconds to Mars, The Beach Boys, PUR, Zucchero, Jason Derulo, Lenny Kravitz, Simply Red, Kings of Leon, Sean Paul, George Ezra, Eros Ramazzotti, Demi Lovato, the Black Eyed Peas, and Ellie Goulding.
Since their debut in 2002, OneRepublic has amassed over 5 billion streams on Spotify alone. Their first album, "Dreaming Out Loud", was released in 2007 and featured the 15 million-selling hit single "Apologize," which broke digital sales and airplay records worldwide and earned the band a GRAMMY® nomination. Their second album, 'Waking Up' (2009), featured the hit singles 'All the Right Moves', 'Secrets' and 'Good Life'.
The platinum-selling album 'Native' (2013) included the number one hit 'Counting Stars', which sold 54 million copies. The albums 'Oh My My' and 'Human' followed. In 2022, their hit 'I Ain't Worried' from the film 'Top Gun: Maverick" reached over 3 billion streams.
In 2024, they released "I Don't Wanna Wait" with David Guetta (350 million streams), the closing theme song "Nobody" for the anime Kaiju No. 8, and the song "Fire" with Meduza and Leony to promote UEFA Euro 2024.
