Winter is just around the corner.
These days we are enjoying the first snowfalls in our mountains and in less than two months the Alpine Ski World Cup will kick off in Sölden.
That reminds us you must speed up our pre-season training. If you really want to have an epic season next winter you need to improve your fitness condition. This is where the difference is made.
Your goal should be to get your body in peak physical condition to enjoy the winter season. Skiing well requires a good combination of aerobic and anaerobic fitness.
Building up strength and endurance means be able to ski all day long and have real fun on the slopes. To improve your cardiovascular fitness, you will need to try and do aerobic sessions of 20 minutes to 1 hour at least three times a week.
Working on your coordination, balance, and stability will improve your overall skiing performance.
In Ski Paradise, since July, we have been enjoying the ski workouts selection available in the Ski Rebels App. Workouts that any ski enthusiast can follow along at home, without the need to go to the gym. Incorporating these exercises into your fitness routine before and during the winter season will help you maximize your time on the slopes.
