British singer-songwriter George Ezra will open the Spring Blanc Events at Ischgl, on March 30. Ezra is one of the most successful British artists of the last decade.
For many of us, spring is one of the best times for skiing at Silvretta Arena ski resort. With 90 percent of the Silvretta Arena’s ski runs being located at altitudes higher than 2,000 meters, the ski resort offers excellent snow reliability, pleasant temperatures, plenty of sunshine, and longer days. This allows ski fans to enjoy skiing up until May.
But if you add a large number of top-level events... you have more than enough reasons to visit this internationally famous ski area.
The Top of the Mountain Spring Concert is the first of three concert highlights taking place as part of the Spring Blanc event series in Ischgl, a colorful program full of culinary delights as grenzenlos.kulinarisch (a culinary dine around at the Austrian/Swiss border), and music on slopes as well as unforgettable spring ski.
The "Spring Blanc" will close with the classic "Top of the Mountain Closing Concert" on April 30 with Eros Ramazzotti performing at the grand finale of the Ischgl ski season 2022-2023.
You should definitely come to Ischgl to experience the Spring Blanc if you would like to celebrate the end of the ski season with a bang.
Born in Hertford, England, in 1993, George Ezra was discovered at the age of 19 and invited directly onto the stage at the Glastonbury Festival.
Ezra rose to prominence with the release of his hit single, "Budapest", which reached number one in several countries. His debut studio album, Wanted on Voyage, was released in June 2014, reaching number one in the UK and the top ten in seven other countries.
Ezra's second studio album, Staying at Tamara's, was released in March 2018 and reached number one in the UK and the top ten in eight other countries. The second single from the album, "Paradise", reached number two in the UK, while the next single, "Shotgun", reached number one, becoming Ezra's first chart-topping single in the UK, Ireland, and Australia.
In February 2019, he won the Brit Award for British Male Solo Artist.
The 29-year-old Brit artist spent the pandemic writing new songs and working on his podcast, for which he landed stars like Ed Sheeran, Elton John, Lili Allen, Nile Rodgers, Ellie Goulding and Tom Jones on the mic.
The singer with the deep, soulful-bluesy voice released his third studio album, Gold Rush Kid, in June 2022. It became his third consecutive number-one album in the UK.
George Ezra follows in the footsteps of a galaxy of superstars who have entertained skiers and boarders in the Austrian resort's traditional Top of the Mountain gig. A long time ago, Ischgl decided to put its entire advertising and marketing budget into staging two massive concerts a year to open and close the winter season. Elton John was the first star to feature in the Tirolean resort's now-famous season-closing concerts, back in 1995. Since then the resort has hosted Rod Stewart, Bob Dylan, Sting, Tina Turner, Diana Ross, Bon Jovi, Enrique Iglesias, Atomic Kitten, Peter Gabriel, The Corrs, Alanis Morissette, Lionel Richie, Pink, the Scissor Sisters, the Pussycat Dolls, Rihanna, Elton John again, Gabriella Cilmi, Leona Lewis, Kylie Minogue, Katy Perry, Alicia Keys, Gossip, The Killers, Roxette, Mariah Carey, The Scorpions, Deep Purple, Nickelback, Robbie Williams, James Blunt, Thirty Seconds to Mars, The Beach Boys, PUR, Zucchero, Jason Derulo, Lenny Kravitz, Simply Red, and Kings of Leon.
The George Ezra's Live Concert will take place in the ski area, on the Idalp, at 2,300 meters, and will start at 13.00. The concert admission is included in the ski ticket. The day ski pass for Ischgl-Samnaun is also the ticket to the concert and costs €95.00 per person on 30 March 2023. The concert is included in all ski passes valid for 2 days or more.
All season tickets and ski association tickets (Snowcard Tirol ...) are also valid on the day of the concert.
